Subroto Bose is Head of IP at Astera Labs, where he manages Astera’s patent and trademark portfolio, domain names, customs enforcement, invention harvesting, and patent strategy. Prior to joining Astera Labs, he was Assistant General Counsel, IP Strategy and Development at Marvell Semiconductor, and Senior Director, Global Patent Strategy and IP Operations at Dolby Laboratories.
Subroto’s in-house experience includes global patent and trademark portfolio strategy, European patent prosecution, patent acquisitions, and global IP operations. He also advises on patent issues in licensing transactions, open source issues, and issues related to standard setting organizations and standard essential patents. His prior experience also includes working at several law firms, where he represented both plaintiffs and defendants before the International Trade Commission (ITC) and federal district courts.

Monica Baig-Silva (Vice President, Intellectual Property at Thermo Fisher Scientific) provides strategic counseling and intellectual property support for Thermo Fisher’s biotechnology, pharmaceutical and clinical trials businesses. With over 15 years of experience, Monica routinely handles all matters of intellectual property protection. In addition, Monica has extensive experience advising on matters related to IP infringement, employment agreements, contract negotiations, and cyber security. A champion of trade secret protections, Monica founded Thermo Fisher’s trade secret and risk assessment committee for internally monitoring company trade secret practices. Monica is currently a member of the Intellectual Property Organization’s trade secret committee.

Mathew Hulse
Matt is currently Associate General Counsel at Intel Corporation and leads the legal team advising Intel's Cloud & Enterprise and Programmable Solutions businesses, 2,000+ person datacenter engineering team, and Intel Automotive. In this role, he serves as the primary legal advisor for Intel's multibillion-dollar Cloud & Enterprise business that offers a broad portfolio of silicon and software datacenter products. His experience includes advising on issues related to technology licensing, strategic collaborations, intellectual property, competition, product security, sales and marketing, and commercial law matters. Previously, he held other senior IP, litigation, and business legal roles at Intel.
Prior to joining Intel in 2011, Matt was an intellectual property trial lawyer at Am Law 200 firms in Silicon Valley. He is also a registered patent attorney and received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and law degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Kristin Lamb is Associate General Counsel, Senior Director of Intellectual Property and Regulatory Compliance for ŌURA, a late-stage health and wellness wearable startup based in Finland and San Francisco that makes the Oura Ring. Kristin leads all aspects of IP development, protection, and enforcement for the company.
Prior to working at ŌURA, Kristin was in private practice with Hogan Lovells in Houston, Texas. She is a former biochemist and patented inventor, studied biochemistry at the University of Colorado, and received her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. She is admitted to the California, Colorado, District of Columbia, and Texas bars, and is a registered patent attorney with the USPTO.

Thomas Choi is a Licensing Director at Ericsson, responsible for managing global IP transactions for Ericsson including SEP licensing. Prior to joining Ericsson, he had extensive IP licensing and technical experience from his time at Nortel, Wi-LAN and Intellectual Ventures. Thomas earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University and holds an MA in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University and BA in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Keith Wilson is executive vice president, partnerships and acquisitions, at IPValue Management Inc. IPValue’s mission is to generate value for leading innovative enterprises by licensing their patented inventions. IPValue has returned well over $1bn to high-tech enterprises from its licensing activities and, over the past four years, has acquired rights to over 10,000 patents. Mr Wilson has over 25 years of experience in intellectual property law, licensing, and management. Before joining IPValue, Mr Wilson was vice president, general and IP Counsel at Solus Microtechnologies, a venture capital-funded technology company. Mr Wilson worked for over a decade for Litton Industries, a $5bn technology company, in a number of technical, legal, and executive positions, including chief IP counsel. Mr Wilson has a BS in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley and a law degree from UC Hastings College of the Law.

Catherine Tornabene is the Deputy General Counsel, Intellectual Property at Aurora, a leading autonomous vehicle company. Catherine has been with Aurora since June 2017 and in her role works on all aspects of intellectual property. She has been an intellectual property attorney since 2007 and prior to Aurora, worked at Google Inc. and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a software engineer at a startup that was ultimately acquired by Netscape and then AOL. Harry heads Kilburn & Strode’s, San Francisco liaison office. With a background in physics, he primarily works on software, automotive and autonomous driving technologies.
His practice involves advising on filing strategies across the globe, particularly for Silicon Valley companies, with a focus on balancing efficiency with strength of IP protection.
Harry has particular expertise in risk assessment (freedom to operate) and patent portfolio strength analysis as companies approach IPO. Recent work has involved detailed
patent due diligence investigations to advise on commercial implications of patent portfolios.
Victoria Friedman
Victoria Friedman is an IP attorney specializing in client counseling, procurement and management of intellectual property. Her day-to-day practice involves patent and trademark preparation and prosecution, opinions of counsel, portfolio strategy and management, licensing, business transactions and much more. Her technical background is in Computer Information Systems and her patent practice primarily focuses on software, telecommunications, computer, search, email and social network arts.
In her trademark practice, she manages international portfolios for top global brands in various industries. Friedman is one of a handful of attorneys who have been successful in registering a color mark. She enjoys developing and implementing efficient, practical solutions to her clients' IP challenges.
